Who’s knows what will happen tomorrow?
Sure we can make plans and schedules and so on.
But we really don’t know.
Today should be our focus.
Did you wake up feeling relatively able and well this morning? Give thanks.
There is so much we want to do today to improve for tomorrow. I’m all for it and I give each day my best shot at improving.
The flip side is that we succumb to the idea that tomorrow will be better. That some future time will bring us more happiness and we’ll final be able to enjoy the ‘todays’.
“There is only one way to happiness and that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power or our will.” – Epictetus
Tomorrow is inevitable and we’ll be stronger if we live today the best that we can.
Work on what you must work on today. Make that call you need to make. Connect with an old friend. Listen to somebody. Listen to yourself.
Take care of yourself.
Take care of others.
On the other side of sadness is happiness. On the other side of negativity is positivity.
Be thankful for another opportunity to grow, to learn, to give, and to love.
Inhale all that’s good.
Exhale all that’s toxic.
Hold on to what’s important.
“Today will never come again.”
Don’t spend today obsessing about the future that will inevitably arrive. Give yourself to the universe today and embrace what it has blessed you with. Be thankful for all that you have already experienced.
It has shaped the character you have become today and today will shape who you will become tomorrow.
Let go of what you cannot control.
“Happiness is not something you postpone for the future; it is something you design for the present.”
What are you grateful for today?
